City worker complains after waiting a long time for a shortcut

A Dundee woman is calling for the reinstatement of a popular shortcut that linked Infirmary Brae to the city centre.
The flight of steps at the end of Parker Street has been closed as it is considered dangerous in its current condition.
Angela Brown told The Courier she would use the stairs every day on her way to work at the BT offices in Bell Street.
”There was heavy rain about three months ago and something must have happened to the stairs and there is no sign of them being opened again,” she said.
A spokesman for Dundee City Council said: ”Once the extent of the work that is required has been assessed and costed we will look at the availability of funding.”
