Two-year-old girl suffers facial injuries in dog attack

A horrific dog attack has left a toddler in hospital where she is being treated for facial injuries.
The two-year-old girl was rushed to Ninewells Hospital after she was bitten in the face by a Husky type dog in Charleston’s Brownhill Place.
A major police operation, involving riot police with shields was launched after the attack at 9.50pm on Monday.
Shocked neighbours have expressed concern for the little girl who has not returned home after being away by ambulance.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said: “Police Scotland attended at Brownhill Place, Dundee at 9.50pm after reports that a two year old girl was bitten by a Husky type dog.
“She was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment for a facial injury.
“The dog was seized and enquiries are ongoing.”
