Lochee bank manager is accused of embezzling nearly £100,000

A Dundee bank manager has appeared in court accused of embezzling almost £100,000 from his employers.
Gordon Irvine, 32, is alleged to have embezzled £96,860 from Santander on Lochee High Street over an eight-month period while employed as its branch manager.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place between November 1 2010 and June 30 2011.
Irvine, of Spey Drive, made no plea or declaration when the case called in private at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
The case was continued for further examination and Irvine was released on bail.
