Two roads in Dundee city centre were closed after a woman was hit by a car on West Marketgait. The accident happened near the Bank of Scotland at the Nethergate junction around 3.10pm. The woman suffered a head injury, which is not thought to be life threatening. Both the Marketgait northbound and the Nethergate were closed to traffic while emergency services dealt with the incident. The woman involved is understood to have remained conscious and was taken to Ninewells Hospital.
