Monifieth High Street was the scene of a three-car crash on Thursday afternoon.
The vehicles included an old-fashioned, open-top sports car, which was left badly damaged. There were reports of traffic delays in the coastal beauty spot as police investigated the cause of the 2.25pm accident.
Petrol was spilled on the road, but Police Scotland reported only one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. Two police units dealt with the incident.
The road was reopened by 5pm, when the rush-hour traffic started to move through the Angus town, with an oil slick and a patch of sawdust the only evidence of the crash.
