A parrot found on Law Hill has been handed in to a local vet. The African grey was thought to have been involved in a case of animal cruelty after it was found although this now thought not be the case. The bird, described as an African grey, was apparently found tied to a tree by a local woman walking her dog. However, the vets now believe that it may just be an escaped parrot that found itself in distress and managed to get itself tangled in the tree. It is thought the SSPCA will take over custody of the bird until the owners can be found.
