Mysterious ball of light spotted over Tayside

A mysterious ball of light has lit up the skies over Courier Country.

Readers spotted the fast-moving ball of light with a bright tail at 21:20 on Thursday evening, and managed to snap a photograph.

The ball of light has got people talking on social media.

Astronomy experts say it is probably a plane, still being lit up at altitude after the sun has set.
