Tens of thousands of pounds are to be spent on emergency sea defences for Broughty Ferry.
The works, which could cost over £180,000, will see a revamp of the coastal dune defence system from the Glass Pavilion restaurant through to Bridge Street.
The timber walkway opposite the Glass Pavilion and adjacent to the rock armour slope defence will also be repaired.
The council had erected fences to restrict public access to these areas following substantial storms in January this year and it is hoped the repairs will be carried out as soon as possible.
The plans will go before the council’s city development committee on Monday.
