Dundee mum committed benefit fraud worth over £7,000

A 23-year-old Dundee mum who admitted fraudulently claiming £7,481.52 worth of benefits had sentence deferred at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Chennise Cossans, of Springhill, admitted fraudulently claiming £3,182.28 of income support, by failing to declare her daughter was no longer living with her, between October 16 2012 and October 21 last year at properties on St Mungo Terrace, Sibbald Street, Isla Street, and Springhill.
She also admitted fraudulently claiming £4,299.24 of child tax credit, by again failing to declare the same child was no longer living with her, between October 16 2012 and February 6 this year at the same locations.
Sentence was deferred until September 11.
