Dundee train station work off until Christmas By Alan Wilson August 20 2014, 10:13am August 20 2014, 10:13am Share Dundee train station work off until Christmas Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/dundee/121925/dundee-train-station-work-off-until-christmas/ Copy Link Work being carried out on the rail station upgrade will be delayed. Work at Dundee’s train station has ground to a halt because the next stage cannot be completed until Christmas Eve. The £20 million project is having to wait until the old bridge below the station is demolished, says project manager Gerry Conway. This can only be done during a brief 56-hour window over Christmas when trains are not operating. Gerry said: “We are kind of in a lull with the works because there’s nothing we can do until Christmas. “It’s a railway, so we only get access then.” Last year, the old front entrance was knocked down during the two-and-a-half-day Christmas holiday respite.
