VIDEO: Dundee’s karate kid claims world championship

A Dundee karate kid fought her way to the top to be crowned world champion.
Twelve-year-old Leah Dunn, from Mill O’ Mains, took on international competitors at the World Union of Karate Federations (WUKF) Children’s Championships.
The three day competition, one of the biggest events on the karate calendar, attracted more than 2,000 top participants to Szczecin, Poland.
Leah went up against children from America, Poland, Romania and Belgium and battled her way to victory winning her final match 4-0 in the 11-12 years old Black Belt Kumite (sparring) group.
The team of five from Kanzen Karate returned home on Monday.
