A Dundee man is selling the copyright on the legendary Wigan Casino Northern Soul Ltd name.
Ed Sweeney has the exclusive rights to release records and host evenings under the Wigan Casino Northern Soul name.
The rights have been put on eBay by Mr Sweeney, who hosted Dundee’s first northern soul all-nighter in 1973.
The former DJ has been in the pages of the Courier before, as he once held the Guinness world record for playing records consecutively, when he played music for 156 hours.

He said: “What I’m selling is the exclusive worldwide rights to use the Wigan Casino Northern Soul Ltd name.
“There is the potential to host all-nighters and all-dayers under the label, and release records under the label if you like.
“It’s still a very popular movement and has experienced a bit of a revival in Thailand as well, and among younger people in this country.”
Mr Sweeney has put the name up for sale on eBay with bids starting at £1,500 but he hopes the lot will reach at least £5,000.
Wigan Casino is one of the premier clubs in northern soul history.
In 1973 the club hosted its first northern soul all-nighter.
It is estimated that more than four million people visited to hear northern soul records and live performances and to dance.
