Motorists travelling between Dundee and Arbroath are being warned to expect delays as roadworks are carried out during off-peak hours.
Resurfacing works start at 7pm on November 30 on the A92 as essential improvement works get under way at West Grange roundabout at Monifieth and Travebank westbound north of Carnoustie.
The work will be carried out from 7pm-7am for eight nights, beginning at West Grange roundabout before moving on to resurface Travebank westbound.
For the first four nights the A92 will be closed in both directions between Claypotts junction and Ethiebeaton roundabout while the resurfacing works at West Grange roundabout are carried out.
A diversion will be in place each night and access to properties will be maintained from the Claypotts junction.
There will be no access to the A92 via Grange Road and motorists are encouraged to follow the A930 Monifieth Road eastbound when heading to Dundee.
Following the completion of works at West Grange resurfacing will start at Travebank westbound for four nights, during which the road will remain open with a convoy system operating.
Eddie Ross, of BEAR Scotland, said: “This resurfacing programme is essential to ensure the continued safe use of this stretch of the A92.
“The works, funded by Claymore Roads, are part of our long-term A92 road maintenance programme and will help to ensure that the route remains fit for purpose for years to come.
“Some disruption is expected during these works, however. We would encourage motorists to plan their journeys and leave some extra time for travel.”
