Broughty Ferry karaoke singers record charity album
ByStefan Morkis
A group of Broughty Ferry karaoke singers have recorded an album for charity.
The amateur singers all regularly sing karaoke at the Eagle Coaching Inn and have now recorded a 16-track album, containing their versions of songs.
Each CD costs £5 and all proceeds will go to Help for Kids, a charity supported by the Overgate and Wave 102.
The idea for the CD arose when keen singer Andy Goudie met karaoke singer and host Kevin Webb at a barbecue.
Songs covered on the album include Billy Idol’s Rebel Yell and The Zutons’ Valerie, which was made famous by Amy Winehouse.
The CD is available from the Eagle Coaching Inn, Groucho’s, Scott Brothers butchers in Dundee and Broughty Ferry and Jessie’s Kitchen in Broughty Ferry.
