Calls for a police probe into the death of Dundee-born tycoon Scot Young have been mounting.
The claims came after it emerged four of his close friends also died mysteriously.
The multi-millionaire, 52, plunged 60ft on to railings from an £8,000-a-month fourth-floor penthouse in Marylebone, London, on Monday evening.
It was the fifth death in four years among the super-rich set famed for their cars, homes and yachts.
It has also been reported how Russian mafia hoods dangled Young over a hotel balcony two years ago.
It is believed Young owed a lot of money to “the wrong people”.
Young had agreed to marry American-born model Noelle early next year, despite failing to pay a £20 million divorce settlement to his ex-wife Michelle, 49.
Last year he was jailed for contempt for refusing to reveal details of his wealth.
Scot, the only child of ex-footballer Duncan and wife Betsy, grew up in a Dundee council flat and left school at 16 with few qualifications.
Speculation has been rife as to how he became one of the country’s wealthiest men, lavishing millions on his jet-set lifestyle. However, he was declared bankrupt in 2009, around the time he met Noelle but continued his lavish spending on her.
Scot spent recent years battling depression and was detained in hospital under the Mental Health Act last year.
Michelle was hoping to be paid the entirety of her claim over five years from Scot’s future earnings.
