Gunners Bar in Broughty Ferry has windows smashed for third time
ByJenny Thomson
The Gunners Bar in Broughty Ferry has had its windows smashed for the third time in little over a year.
Two members of staff were cleaning tables after closing up on Friday night when stones were thrown at the windows.
An 18-year-old female worker was showered with glass and both workers were left shaken by the latest terrifying incident, which happened just after midnight.
Today, landlady Jackie Long told The Courier she was upset to suffer such an attack so soon in the new year especially as the pub has been targeted twice before in October and November 2013.
She said she didn’t think the incidents are connected as they don’t often have trouble in the pub but urged anyone who saw anyone to come forward.
However, once again she vowed not to give in to vandals and the pub was open as usual after an early-morning clean-up operation.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or pass information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
