When Gary Barlow announced on Twitter he would sing at three weddings in the UK this year, it sparked an online frenzy.
But Dundee’s Scott McRuvie, manager of The Whitehall Theatre, is hoping his proposal of a trip to Carnoustie and public support will stand out from the pack.
The Take That singer has said he will perform at three weddings this year for fans who “stalk” him online.
Every week I receive thousands of requests to sing at someone's Wedding !

Now massive Take That fan Scott (30) and his fiance Lauren Allardyce (28) are hoping public support will bring the singer to their wedding in August.

“We are absolutely desperate for it to happen,” said Scott.
“Both of us are absolutely massive fans. I’ve got a couple of friends in shows so I will ask them do a video for him and I also run the Stage Academy Theatre School and might do something with them.”
Scott proposed to Lauren on Christmas Day 2013 and this year Lauren bought him tickets for one of Take That’s shows at the SSE Hyrdo in April and is planning to try to catch the singer’s eye then.
The Dundee FC fan admits that he is a bigger fan than Lauren and has even performed Take That songs on stage himself as the video below shows.
“Take That are amazing – a lot of bands have just come and gone,” he said.
“In fact, I used to be in a boy band called Fusion when I was at university in Carlisle and mostly all we did was covers of Take That songs.”
