Treasures of Dundee’s historical trade links are expected to be unearthed by a Perth antiques expert.
Auctioneer Nick Burns, of Lindsay Burns and Co., is holding a valuation day for antiques and collectables in Broughty Ferry next week.
He said: “It will be along the lines of the Antiques Roadshow and we are keen for people to book an appointment or turn up on the day with their heirlooms.
“I am hopeful that we may be able find some interesting Chinese, Japanese or Indian objects, with its port connection and Dundee’s historical trade links with the east.”
Other popular items people might like to bring along are silver, gold, jewellery, pictures and collectable items.
“We look forward to meeting the people of Broughty Ferry and helping them shed some light on the unloved vase that has been in a box in the corner of the attic,” said Mr Burns.
Call 01738 633888 to book an appointment for the event, which takes place next Wednesday at St Stephens and West Church Hall from 10am-4pm.
