Verdant Works provided an appropriate backdrop for a BBC crew’s visit to Dundee this week to film a segment for The One Show.
Fame Academy presenter Carrie Grant and traditional singer Sheena Wellington visited the museum in West Henderson’s Wynd to film Dundee Rep’s women’s singing group Loadsaweeminsinging and the Whitfield Choir.
The One Show is producing a series of pieces looking at music from industrial areas.
Among the musical offerings in Dundee was The Jute Mill Song which tells of the hardship of women working in the city’s mills.
It was written by Mary Brooksbank, who joined a mill aged 12 and became a campaigner for better conditions.
