Another Dundee landmark makes way for waterfront project

One of Dundee’s most familiar sights is no more after work began to remove the walkway between Tayside House and the Olympia Leisure Centre.
Engineers began to dismantle the walkway above South Marketgait in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the first of three overnight closures on the route.
The move is part of the regeneration of Dundee’s waterfront.
With the clock ticking on the futures of both Tayside House and the Olympia Leisure Centre, the decision to remove the crossing was made as work continues at the nearby Riverside Roundabout.
