Boy reported to panel after reports of knife incident at school

A boy has been reported to the Children’s Panel after being seen allegedly brandishing a knife in a Dundee school playground.

The alarm was raised after reports of a youngster threatening other pupils with the weapon on Monday.

Staff contacted police after they were alerted to the incident.

A spokesman for Tayside Police said, “We can confirm that, following inquiries, a boy has been reported to the Children’s Panel process for further consideration by the youth justice assessor.”
