Photo gallery: Christmas lights shine in Dundee’s West End

The festive season got under way in Dundees West End with a Christmas lights switch-on and fireworks. People braved the cold to attend the event marking the start of the West End Christmas Fortnight. The fun kicked off with a concert by primary and secondary school pupils at Dundee West Church. Mains of Fintry Pipe Band then led everyone from the church to Seabraes, where Scottish singer Sheena Wellington had the honour of turning on the lights, assisted by Santa.
