A two-vehicle crash on a Dundee commuter route led to a long tailback of traffic this afternoon.
The vehicles collided in Drumgeith Road about 4.30pm.
An elderly man from one of the vehicles complained of a back injury and was taken to Ninewells Hospital but was not thought to be seriously hurt.
The closure of Queen Street in Broughty Ferryfor major roadworks has led other eastbound commuter routes being busier than normal. Drumgeith Road is one of the thoroughfares coping with more traffic.
The collision led to a traffic tailback which affected that and other roads, and it took some time to clear.
