Dundee manager Paul Hartley and director of football operations John Nelms have been on a trip to visit Everton’s training ground.
The manager, who is a former St Johnstone team-mate of Everton assistant boss Graeme Jones, reported: “This was a very good fact-finding mission.
“What we have been able to do is pick people’s brains. There’s lots for us to ponder in terms of implementing new ideas at Dundee.”
Nelms even suggested that Everton players may head to Dens on loan.
He said: “Everton said they would love to have some of their players playing up in Scotland. And, for us, we would love to have some of them playing with us at Dens.”
