Tay Road Bridge reopens after ambulance and car crash

The Tay Road Bridge was closed northbound for a time this afternoon after an ambulance and car collided on the approach to Dundee.
The ambulance was carrying a patientfrom Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy to Ninewells.
The patient, as well as a crew member and two passengers in the car, were then taken to Ninewells for checks in two other ambulances called to the scene.
The incident happened at about 2.30pm and meant the northbound lanes were closed until just before 3.30pm.
There were significant delays for traffic coming from Fife until the route was cleared.
