Accident on Broughty Ferry Road disrupts morning traffic

Commuter traffic was delayed in Dundee this morning by a three-vehicle collision on Broughty Ferry Road.

The accident happened at the foot of Dalgleish Road and quickly led to long tailbacks.

This affected vehicles heading into Dundee city centre from Broughty Ferry and also those heading down Greendykes Road.

The accident happened on the city-bound carriageway of Broughty Ferry Road about 7.45am and caused the closure of the outside lane.

It is understood that the occupants of the cars suffered only minor injuries.

Arrangements were made to remove the damaged vehicles to clear the obstruction.
