Crowds of people packed the streets of Broughty Ferry to see the famous Commonwealth Games Scotties.
Ten of the celebrity pooches made a special appearance outside the Visocchi’s Caf on Gray Street, with dog lovers desperate to catch a glimpse of the famous hounds.
The pups and their owners were all dressed in their full games outfits that they wore to the opening ceremony at Celtic Park.
Emma Graham, 23, from Broughty Ferry, showed off her dog Maggie who appeared alongside the Pakistan team. Emma also walked her other Scottie, Angus, alongside the Singapore team.
She said: “Being able to walk out at the opening ceremony was a fantastic experience. The athletes seemed to love them as well as the fans.
“People will stop me in the street when I take them out for a walk and ask if they are the Commonwealth Games dogs.”
Ramanee Bengough, 48, was among the crowd waiting to see the tartan clad dogs arrive and was thankful for the chance to see them in the city.
She said: “I just think they’re absolutely gorgeous, they’re so well behaved and a typically Scottish dog. I’m glad they came to Dundee, and it’s been really good to have a chance to see them.”
Nora Miller, 40, also came out to see the dogs after missing the opening ceremony while on holiday. She said: “I heard so much about them that I wanted to see them. They’re lovely.”
