An alleged sex offender has been declared unfit to stand trial at Dundee Sheriff Court.
A psychiatric report ordered by the crown prosecution service assessed Ross Ottaway as having a mental condition, making him unable to stand trial for an alleged offence against three children.
Ottaway, 33, of Kirk Street, Dundee, denies the charge, which states that on April 13 last year in the city, he intentionally caused three children to look at a sexual image, by inducing them to view videos containing sexual content.
He was due to stand trial on Wednesday but depute fiscal Douglas Wiseman told the court: “The report we have indicates the accused is not fit to stand trial.
“There is a mental condition. The Crown is seeking a hearing of the facts to decide what, if anything, can be agreed.”
Defence solicitor Anika Jethwa had no opposition to the motion and Sheriff Gregor Murray granted the application.
