Dundee band AMWF played two triumphant shows at the city’s Gardyne Theatre at the weekend.
Playing tracks from their forthcoming new album along with many from their 2012 debut album, Stevie Anderson, Gavin McGinty, Dave Webster and Billy Fisher also unveiled their new bass player, Tom Barbour, who was enjoying his first Gardyne show with his new bandmates.
The first show on Saturday was a complete sell-out and it was almost the same last night, with both audiences on their feet for a deserved standing ovation at the end of each show.
The band had warmed up with a fantastic set at the Tartan Heart Festival at Belladrum a couple of weekends ago and were on top form again at the Gardyne, which they have all but sold out six times.
Last year’s shows had been recorded and they released their latest album, Live at the Gardyne, to mark the latest shows.
Kinross band Sienna, who are celebrating their new single release with Wandering Star, were also well received by the audience for their excellent set.
