A shopkeeper in the Blackness area of Dundee was left shaken after vandals smashed her craft store window.
Leona-Jayne Kelly, owner of Fluph wool and yarn shop, arrived at work to find blood and glass on the floor of her shop.
The 28-year-old said: “One of the windows had been smashed and there was glass everywhere. It was like it had exploded.
“And there was blood on the window. Just a few drops, but it was kind of gross. I think they tried to crawl through.”
Two other nearby businesses J Pearson Shoe Repairs and Highlander Games were also affected, but it was Leona’s shop on the corner of Annfield Road and Blackness Road which suffered the most damage.
While nothing was stolen from the property, some £700 worth of stock and a large handmade sign were ruined.
Leona’s insurance was able to cover the cost of a replacement window.
A police spokeswoman said: “We received a report that a shop premises at Blackness Road, Dundee, had vandalism to a window.
“It would have happened between 2.30pm on the Sunday and 9.15am on Monday.”
