Three coaches full of school children were left stranded on buses at the Dundee Flower and Food Festival for more than an hour on Friday after a dispute.
James Cosgrove, owner of Fishers Tours, was left frustrated when barriers prevented his coaches from leaving Camperdown Park by the main entrance.
Organisers put a one-way system in place to make drivers leave via the narrow south exit, which Mr Cosgrove said was unsuitable for coaches.
He said: “I had kids trapped on three buses and they can’t leave.
“The exit is so narrow there isn’t enough room for us to leave before turning without hitting the pillar.
“If one of our windows breaks it could hurt someone.”
Mr Cosgrove phoned the police and a spokeswoman said Police Scotland was aware of the incident.
The issue was eventually resolved when coaches were later released via the main entrance.
A Dundee City Council spokesman said: “Organisers resolved the situation and acted with public safety in mind.”
