Tickets for the next Dundee derby are selling fast as Dundee supporters queued outside of Dens Park.
Hundreds of football fans queued outside of the ticket office at the Bobby Cox stand for hours to the two Dundee sides clash in the League Cup.
Tickets had been scheduled to go on sale at noon, however, due to a huge build-up of Dark Blues supporters outside of the office doors opened at 11am.
At this stage tickets were only available to those with vouchers that come with their season ticket, and those who have various other club memberships.
Just up the road at Tannadice Dundee United supporters had a chance to snap up tickets earlier this week.
The cup fixture will take place at Tannadice on September 24, with the League match at Dens Park a few days before.
Craig Helm, 42, had been queuing for over two hours by the time he reached the front of the queue to collect his ticket
He said: “I queued to get tickets for the league game, and I’ve been here for a couple of hours, but it’ll be worth it if we win the games.”
Robert Kerr, 26, was one of the first to leave the office with a ticket and he was looking forward to the game.
He said: “I didn’t manage to get tickets for the league game because I will be working, so I made sure to get them this time. I can’t wait it will be a great game, both teams are in really good form.”
