Yes campaigners gathered in Dundee’s City Square on Friday night to show their continued support for independence.
The impromptu event – arranged largely through social media – saw dozens of activists come together in a collective show of defiance.
A variety of soapbox speakers, including Yes campaigner Tony Banks, spoke at the largely peaceful event, which was only briefly marred by the exchange of strong words between the group and a passer-by.
One of those in the crowd was SNP councillor Jimmy Black.
He said: “It (the issue of independence) is most definitely not over.
“Of course, the vote is over for now, but we have made huge progress and will continue to do so.
“We have shown here how we will react and it is absolutely essential that we keep the pressure on.”
Some Yes campaigners have planned a further event outside the Caird Hall at noon on Saturday to protest alleged electoral fraud, following the emergence of unverified footage some claim shows an officer mixing piles of ballot papers.
Mr Black added: “I don’t believe that electoral fraud occurred in Dundee.
“If anyone does have any evidence of it occurring, I want to see it.
“But I have a great deal of faith in the officers of Dundee City Council and I don’t believe anything untoward happened here.”
