Travellers who were hampering repair work on a disused Dundee factory fled the site after the owners applied to court for their removal.
A camp of about 10 caravans and vans had been illegally parked on the old Keiller factory site on Mains Loan for more than a week.
However, they had left the premises after the estate managers applied for a court order to have them moved on.
Estate manager Eric Stark, acting on behalf of site owner Bruce Linton, said: “We had asked them to go several times and they hadn’t. We applied to the court to have them removed.
“Sometimes when they know that you’re serious about having them removed, they know the timescale these things take and go before they get to the final stage.
“We have a lot of historic contamination at the site and it has to be dealt with before the area can be developed.”
One neighbour who lives close to the factory said: “The Travellers were very well behaved all the time that they were here.
“They also left the area in a very clean condition when they did go.”
