The end is in sight for West End residents affected by the roadworks along a stretch of Riverside Drive.
Councillor Fraser Macpherson has said that the vast majority of the works are now completed, with only the right-hand turn to Riverside Approach running slightly behind the planned schedule.
The Liberal Democrat councillor told The Courier: “They are running slightly behind with the right-turn on to Riverside Approach coming westbound from the city centre, but otherwise the drive itself is now fully open.
“The fundamental point is that the bulk of the work is now done and hopefully by the end of the week that will be back working again.
“I would like to thank drivers for their forbearance over the last few weeks during what has been quite major work,” he said.
“The great positive is that there is a good new road surface and two new pedestrian crossings that are greatly welcomed,” he added.
