Dundee manhunt after young woman attacked in the street

Police in Dundee have launched a manhunt after a young woman was assaulted in the street in the early hours of Tuesday.

Officers say the 19-year-old was walking in Milnbank Road at about 3.45am when she was attacked.

She suffered an injury to her shoulder and was helped by passers-by before being taken to Ninewells Hospital.

A police spokesman said: “ The suspect is described as being in his early 20s, about 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with short dark hair.

“He was wearing a red and black chequered shirt with the sleeves rolled up and dark chino-style trousers.

“He is believed to have been in the area of the Westport and South Tay Street at around 2.30am.”
