Officers say the 19-year-old was walking in Milnbank Road at about 3.45am when she was attacked. She suffered an injury to her shoulder and was helped by passers-by before being taken to Ninewells Hospital. A police spokesman said: “ The suspect is described as being in his early 20s, about 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with short dark hair. “He was wearing a red and black chequered shirt with the sleeves rolled up and dark chino-style trousers. “He is believed to have been in the area of the Westport and South Tay Street at around 2.30am.” Police are asking anyone with information to phone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
