Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a petrol station in Dundee.
A man walked into the Shell garage on Forfar Road at around 9.50pm on Tuesday and threatened a member of staff with a knife before demanding money.
He then made off empty handed.
The female worker was unhurt but shocked after the incident.
The suspect is described as being five feet seven inches tall, in his late 20s, wearing a dark-coloured hooded jacket with grey-coloured sleeves, dark-coloured jeans and dark-coloured gloves.
He was last seen heading in the direction of either Linlathen or the Kingsway.
Police are keen to hear from anyone with information which could help them.
