Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene, near the Park Street junction, at just after 12:30pm on Wednesday. Witnesses said the car appeared to have hit a brick wall running alongside the road, which also suffered some damage. One of the cars wheels was ripped off by the force of the impact. A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “We got the call from the police at 12.35pm. “One ambulance and one first responder unit attended, and the incident was still ongoing at 1.10pm.” City bound lanes on Lochee Road were closed by police, while the vehicle was recovered.
