Brian Evans, a residential child care worker in the city, appeared before a Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) conduct sub-committee. He was accused of knocking a member of the public to the ground after punching them in the face. There were also two charges of acting inappropriately towards colleagues. A spokeswoman for the SSSC said that after hearing a day of evidence misconduct had been proved. Today submissions will be made and the panel will decide on a sanction to be imposed and issue a statement on the details. The sanctions can range from a warning to suspension to ultimately being removed from the register and unable to continue in the profession.
