A Dundee man who deliberately urinated while being placed in police custody has been sent back to jail for 18 months.
William Haxton, 39, care of Ferguson, Fleming Gardens, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court having previously admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner during the incident on February 2.
The court heard police had arrived after a woman he had been in a relationship with complained that Haxton would not leave her house.
Fiscal depute Charmaine Gilmartin said: “Police arrived and saw the accused shouting and swearing at the complainer.
“They asked him to stop and he refused so he was handcuffed and removed.”
The court heard he became aggressive, made offensive remarks about the officers’ wives and had to be put in a police van.
He continued to be aggressive and threatened to spit and urinate in the van so officers put a spit hood on him and took him straight to the cells.
Mrs Gilmartin said: “The decision was then made to remove the accused’s clothing for his own safety and at that point he urinated on the floor of the police station.”
He was also sentenced at the same time for breaching bail twice by being outwith his address in the company of a woman he was not to contact on February 13 and 14.
