A man accused of robbing another at knifepoint and trying to steal drugs from another in his home has appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Charles Bertie, 32, of Corso Street, faces three charges, including assaulting a man, barricading him in his house and restraining him on a bed while holding a knife at his head in an attempt to rob him of drugs.
Another charge is that he assaulted and demanded money from another man by brandishing a knife at him before robbing him of his mobile phone, a TV receiver, a remote control, owner’s manual, jacket and duvet cover.
He is further charged with wilfully and recklessly damaging property by smashing a window. During a short petition hearing before Sheriff McGowan, Bertie made no plea or declaration on Tuesday.
He was fully committed for trial and remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
