Flyboy Creative documentary focuses on India’s Tea People

Dundee film company Flyboy Creative and Little Earth Productions have created a moving documentary.
Tea People is a film about the lives of Indian people in the Darjeeling tea plantation area and, in particular, their access to education.
Husband and wife team Neeraj Agarwal and Vishaka Chhetri Agarwal set up the social enterprise Tea People, which specialises in sales of high-quality tea from Darjeeling throughout the UK and abroad.
Half of the profits from the company are given to the development of education, especially for girls, in the Darjeeling region.
Tea People, the film, meets the children who are seeing the benefits of this social fund, as well as giving a glimpse into the lives of the tea pluckers and the managers of the tea gardens.
The film takes the audience on an journey about the process of how tea is made and also explores the moving stories of the people of Darjeeling as well as giving an insight into their culture and their celebration of the Holi festival.
