A Dundee nursery will soon learn if it has done enough to keep its doors open.
The Ark Nursery in High Street was told it needed to make urgent improvements to its standards of care.
The Care Inspectorate said it had concerns about child protection issues and staff recruitment, and gave management until March 14 to make changes to procedures.
An inspectorate spokesman said an unannounced inspection of the nursery would be carried out soon to check on progress.
The nursery has already been warned that further action will be taken if it is unable to satisfy the inspectors.
Possible action includes its registration being cancelled.
Management have said they are confident of being able to meet the requirements of the improvement notice.
Problems first emerged at the Ark earlier this year when a member of staff was suspended and reported to care workforce watchdog the Scottish Social Services Council.
