Timmy Mallett once again hailed his beloved Courier country at a preview of his new exhibition before falling in love with tangerine.
Timmy was joined at the preview by his friend and former breakfast TV:AM colleague Lorraine Kelly as he showcased his latest works.
Mallett’s Palette opened at Eduardo Alessandro Studios in Broughty Ferry on Saturday, following a hugely successful exhibition in May 2012.
The artwork includes paintings of the Mills Observatory in Dundee, the Tay Rail Bridge, Broughty Castle and the Arbroath cliffs.
Timmy told The Courier: “Dundee is the home of jute, jam and journalism. It’s also a jewel in eastern Scotland for art, inspiration and warm welcomes.
“It’s no coincidence that Dundee was nominated for Britain’s city of culture.”
The collection includes a new painting of the Bell Rock Lighthouse off the coast of Arbroath.
Timmy first fell in love with Arbroath while filming children’s TV show Wacaday in the town in the 1980s.
He returned with his brother Martin and previously painted the Bell Rock and the coastline after a sightseeing boat trip.
Lorraine and Timmy enjoyed another engagement on Saturday afternoon as United fan Lorraine took him to Tannadice for the Tangerines’ match against Celtic.
Timmy made a half-time tour of the stadium to some good-natured ribbing from the fans.
