Jamie Black, 23, was on a night out with friends when the incident occurred outside G Casino in Dundee. He had been drinking over the course of the evening and was asked to leave the casino, only to return at 1.45am demanding to be let in again. Fiscal depute Charmaine Gilmartin said Black had casino chips left over from his gambling session that he wanted to exchange. When bouncers refused to allow him to return, Black became aggressive and he started shouting. Black said: “I am a marine. I will choke you out.” Police were then called to the incident and Black was arrested. His solicitor said: “Unfortunately, the accused is not a marine although I believe some members of his family have served. “He is doing various courses at the moment, which is why he could not attend court in person. “He hopes to work off-shore,” the solicitor added. Black, of Bayne Square, pleaded guilty at Dundee Sheriff Court to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on January 4. He was fined £250.
