Springfield Properties have registered their plans for new homes at South Gray with Dundee City Council. The 228 homes project is estimated to be worth more than £150 million and could create more than 100 jobs.
It has been developed in consultation with the city council.
Sandy Adam, chairman of Springfield, said: “The site at the Western Gateway, which is west of the Kingsway and by Dykes of Gray Road, has been identified by the council for development for over 10 years and Springfield are committed to providing high quality residential development at Dundee West.”
The Western Gateway project has been on the drawing board for more than a decade.
It has been promoted by the council as a better way to manage the spread of new housing in the city rather than allow continued developments in the east.
