The 48 year old man was leaving his home in Bank Mill Road at about 7am on Saturday April 5 when he was assaulted and had money stolen. The victim received medical attention and was discharged from hospital a short time later. Officers are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area. Police are also keen to speak with a paperboy seen entering Rosefield Place from Blackness Road around the time of the incident.
