Police investigate death of woman found lying in Dundee street

Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found lying in a street in Dundee.
The female, who is understood to be in her 40s, was discovered on Court Street near to the junction with Sandeman Street at around 10.30 on Wednesday night.
She was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance but died.
The area where the woman was found was cordoned off for a time to allow forensic examination of the scene and enquiries into the full circumstances are continuing.
There are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident but as with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Police particularly want to speak to a boy, aged 12 to 14-years-old, who was in the street at the time the woman was found, along with an Asian man who was also there in a silver van.
Officers are urging anyone with information to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.
