Thieves steal six televisions from Piperdam chalets

Thieves have made off with six televisions from lodges at the Piperdam Golf and Leisure Resort.
Police are investigating after the culprits took the sets from six of the site’s unoccupied lodges.
Company director Linda Mulholland said on Thursday: “We discovered it this morning. We are getting ready for VisitScotland to come and grade our lodges.
“The housekeeper went into one lodge and she reported the TV was missing.”
Management then checked with maintenance to see if the television had been taken out for repairs but it was later discovered a further five sets were missing from other lodges.
“It would appear that several lodges were broken into last night, at least six,” Linda said.
“We are unsure how it could have happened, one or two lodges had forced entry. The six lodges were unoccupied. It would appear there was no other motive other than theft.
“It was the TVs, DVDs and the remotes. They would be easy to put into a car.”
