A man has been arrested after a suspected stabbing in broad daylight in a Dundee street.
A major police operation was launched around 5pm on Wednesday after residents in the Douglas area called 999 to alert the authorities to a disturbance in Ballindean Road.
Around a dozen police vehicles, including a dog van, descended on Ballindean Road, where pedestrians were later seen talking to the officers and pointing towards Keith Place.
A man was later seen being arrested and handcuffed by officers before being placed into a police van and driven away.
An ambulance spokesman confirmed a male had been taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.
Details of the man’s injuries were not released.
The police operation was centred on Keith Place, where half a dozen police vehicles and around a dozen officers were seen before the man was arrested at a tenement there.
